Explore one of Salvador's most historic streets and experience the city through immersive exhibits, photography and personal narratives.


Memorial of the Baianas de Acaraje

Enter the cultural heart of Black Salvador. This is a day shaped by community, music, resistance and the institutions that continue to define the city's Afro Brazilian identity.


Liberdade and Ladeira do Curuzu

Experience one of Salvador's most important Black neighbourhoods through the people, streets and cultural movements that give it its distinctive energy.


Ile Aiye and Senzala do Barro Preto

Visit the home of Brazil's first bloco afro and discover how Ile Aiye transformed music, aesthetics and Black consciousness in Bahia and beyond.


Time to Recharge

A relaxed lunch is followed by several hours of free time before the evening celebration.


Afrobaile

Step into Salvador's contemporary Black nightlife through a celebration of Afrobeat, samba reggae, pagode, hip hop and electronic music. If Afrobaile does not coincide with the final travel dates, another compelling November Black cultural event can be curated.

After a free morning, the group enters Salvador's contemporary Black art world through an intimate artist encounter followed by a private museum experience.
